Achievements

  1. Provided credit finance to over 2000 farmers. This has boosted the farmer’s ability to increase on farmer production since they buy good inputs like seeds, fertilizers and ploughing on time thus increasing their yield per hector especially for maize and beans.
  2. Provided financial training to over 3000 farmers on the proper use of credit finance obtained from feed Africa program limited. Farmers are able to costs there produce from the point of preparing the garden up to the time of selling to goods to the maize store. This has enhanced farmer’s ability to acquire finance from financing institutions
  3. Enhanced farmers through training to do agriculture as a business. Farmers growing tomatoes, onions, greens and other food crops like cassava grow the food crops and sell them on their own food stall. This has increased income levels of the local populations and created employment opportunities for the households.
  4. Encouraging farmers to do intercropping and this has enhanced food security in the households.
  5. Established aggregation centers thus creating employment opportunities to the youth in every sub-country in greater Mubende district. This has also reduced on the costs incurred by farmers as they store their crops as they wait for the market prices to increase.
  6. Trained farmers on good agricultural practice (GAPs) and providing them with tarpaulins to enhance good post harvesting as well as adaption of good climate management like planting trees at their homes.
  7. Provided farmers with data relating to the agriculture season since we have data base for farmers, this has helped us to easily reach out to the farmers with the basic information required in order to have the appropriate farm production during the seasons
  8. Established demo-plots which enhanced farmer’s knowledge and skills thus improved on farmer’s methods of agriculture practices thus farmers adopted good agriculture practices as results weighing the difference between farm results while using GAPs against those without GAPs.
  9. Encouraged farmers and they adopted intercropping maize alongside beans.
